Tech Creativity - Hotels take to offering Skype in Guest Rooms

Nordic Hotel Forum first in Baltic States to offer Skype telephones in hotel rooms: The business and conference hotel Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn is the first hotel in the Baltic States that offers its clients the opportunity to use Skype telephones from February this year. The new business class rooms are specially designed to meet all the needs of business travellers. All rooms have wireless Internet connection with Skype telephones that can be used without a computer. Chairman of the Board of the Nordic Hotel Forum Feliks Mägus believes that using a Skype telephone will make communication even easier. “Using Skype generally means that you have a computer and headphones, but here you only need to log on to your Skype account via the telephone”.
Mägus added that as Skype is growing in popularity with many people using it for personal and business purposes, having a Skype phone in a hotel room makes keeping in touch easier and cheaper. “At first, we will try using the Skype telephones in 18 business class rooms but if successful, we will add Skype telephones to all rooms,” said Mägus.
In addition to Skype telephones, business class rooms offer better views, complimentary mineral water, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary film channels, bath robes and slippers and free of charge parking in the underground car park. The price of a room also
includes an extensive breakfast buffet and use of the leisure club. A business class room is the ideal choice if you visit Tallinn to attend a business meeting or a conference.
