Sheraton Doha launches the Link @ Sheraton

The Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is the first Sheraton hotel in the Middle East to launch the Link@Sheraton, a new brand standard intended to create a lively experience for guests while working online.
The opening ceremony and ribbon cutting was honored by the presence of Roeland Vos, President Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Gerhard Foltin, General Manager of the Sheraton Doha in addition to high profile Executives, celebrating the launch of a new distinguished facility.
More than just a lobby space, the Link @ Sheraton is a unique and convenient online experience enabling guests to surf the Internet, email loved ones, review local favorite attractions and or work in a warm and comforting environment.
The Link @ Sheraton experience begins as guests make their way through the hotel lobby and enter a specially designed communal lounge area featuring sleek lines, comfortable seating, refreshments and a plasma television creating a relaxing atmosphere. Multiple broadband Internet-enabled workstations complete with free Wi-Fi connectivity and PrintMe features are also made available for Sheraton in house guests. Moreover, games and magazines as well as beverages are part of this programme which will enhance the sense of belonging as a common emotion.

In keeping with Sheraton’s core values of warm, comforting, connections, the link provides a place where guests stay in touch with their home base, as well as the city they are visiting no matter where their travels take them, 24 hours a day.
The opening of Link ties-up perfectly with the Annual Starwood meeting held for the first time in Qatar. Over 300 top Starwood Executives from different parts of the world, General Managers, Directors from hotels in Africa and the Middle East and Starwood Executives from the head offices in Brussels, UAE and Egypt are gathered at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.
This six-day event will include several workshops and presentations to illustrate the impact and integration of the new brands’ strategies into operations, as well as sales, marketing, finance and human resources.
