February 23, 2007: Alumni from various Tourism, Hotel & Hospitality schools converged from all corners of Dubai (and beyond!) to attend the first "Reach-Out" in the UAE. The surprisingly positive turnout included over 15 alumni from schools including the Merit School Ooty, Merit Chennai, SSH / SSTH / HTF Passugg and the HTW Chur, Switzerland.
The group included alumni currently working in the hospitality and other industries in Dubai as well as visitors from further afield...including Al Ain and Bahrain.

The reach-out was the first of its kind done on a casual basis to see just who was currently in Dubai and to re-establish lost links..the meet happened from 2030 to 2200hrs at the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. Part of the group later also got their groove on at the popular Barasti Bar at the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi on Jumeirah Beach.
