Something’s changing at Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers

The fully renovated rooms at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel and Towers

Manama, Bahrain, February 2006 – Remodeled, refined and resplendent, Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers has started a complete and impressive refurbishment. From the grand entrance to the lofty heights of the stylish interior, the premium property is to get a complete makeover as part of Bahrain’s newest development underway – Bahrain World Trade Centre complex.

The project entails complete revamping of all 256 rooms and suites, meeting rooms, restaurants, recreation facilities and public areas; a brand new multi-story car-parking and direct link to the twin towers of the Bahrain World Trade Centre via the adjacent shopping mall. The completion date of the hotel renovation is set for October 2006. It is to be done in phases, with the hotel’s top three floors set to finish by January 2006.

The hotel’s Al Taj Ballroom is already completely transformed by upgrading the design and facilities to ultra modern standards and luxury. A brand new 200 cars multi-story parking is also in completion next to the hotel’s main entrance.

Keeping with the hotel’s vigorous policy of staying ahead of modern styling, the new rooms are exceptionally elegant. Having a timeless and yet contemporary feel, they blend warm pastel colors and fine fabrics with state-of-the art facilities such as 32“ LCD screen TVs and wireless Hi Fi connection available in all rooms and public areas of the hotel.

Targeting to meet and exceed business travelers’ expectations, each room features fully equipped office desk area with tea/coffee making facilities and ironing board.

All bathrooms are tastefully decorated and boast high-pressure dual option showerheads.

The jewel in the crown however is the signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed. The new luxurious beds have the specially developed ‘Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed by Simmons Beautyrest’ mattress, crisp white 100% combed cotton 200 thread count bed linen, sumptuous white goose feather pillows, and a coloured throw to tone with the room decor. The investment on the new beds alone is almost USD 600,000.

Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers has been one of the premium 5-star hotels in Bahrain since its opening in 1981. It has hosted royalty and heads of state, business tycoons and captains of industry. It has also been a proud host of two GCC summits.

Located in the diplomatic area and main business district of Bahrain’s capital Manama, the hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the city center. It offers luxurious guest rooms and suites overlooking the Arabian Gulf, extensive recreational facilities, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and delightful restaurants, making it the ideal location for today’s traveler.
